Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the determination of lexical and stylistic specificity of Turkish advertising texts. The research of this subject is performed by means of lexical and stylistic analysis of advertising text and study of its different text peculiarities. In the thesis, the theoretical and methodological study bases of lexical and stylistic evidence of Turkish advertising text language have been determined; the solution of some pressing theoretical problems of linguistics of advertising text have been improved; the functioning of pragmatic intentions of locutionary target of advertising message by means of linguistic units have been studied; notional and structural organization of Turkish printed advertising text have been determined; peculiarities of integrality and coherence formation of Turkish printed advertising text have been outlined; stratification of lexical and stylistic units of advertising text that variegate figurative means are used to a high degree in the advertising texts have been performed. The research paper enables the assertion that Turkish advertising text is a particular form of communication with distinctive linguistic specificity filled with lexical and stylistical means that determine its content.
