Essay

The object of study is the electromagnetic processes in complex waveguide units. The goal is to build a mathematical model for the analysis of new waveguide structures. As results it was generalized the mode matching technique taking into account the field peculiarities for waveguides with arbitrary coordinate cross-sections; novel rejecting and transmitting units were proposed; revealed the 90°-rotation of the polarization plane of the TE01 (TE10) wave of a square waveguide when passing through the compact composite iris. Application area is radiophysics, microwave technique.
