Roshkanyuk V. Legal regulation of the social protection in Ukraine.

The thesis is devoted to the comprehensive research of the legal regulation of social protection in Ukraine. The essence and the concept of social protection in Ukraine are defined. It is proved that social protection as a legal category is a broader concept than social security, which is a remnant of the Soviet era and can not be used to describe this area of activity in modern terms, whereas only one of the components of social protection. The social protection as a function and principle of the social state is revealed. Contents, subjects and grounds of relations in the sphere of social protection are established. The mapping of the right to social security in international instruments is characterized, international standards of the person's right to social protection are analyzed. The comparative characteristics of domestic and European systems of social protection is made.
