Essay

The thesis is devoted to the experimental and theoretical investigations of different types of steel reinforcing bars anchoring in nonautoclaved foam concrete of D600..D1000 density grades. The investigations were held under short-term static load with the usage of modern pull-out bond test methods and beam specimen bending method. On the basis of analyzed experimental data an author proposed the engineering methods of anchoring length calculation and the technique of steel bar butt end plate anchor design if needed. Reliability of proposed empirical equations is assured by statistically valid calculation of safety factor value. The recommendations concerning design of guaranteed anchorage were verified on reinforced foam concrete slabs.
