Essay

The formation of the national style in the USA'piano music within sonata genre is under study in the dissertation. It is proposed the working-out of the concepts "American music mentality", on which is based peculiarity of the national specific features in the American composers's piano works. The American piano sonata's development in the selected period is considered as a process in historical perspective, therefore regularities of genre' historical development in the USA are formulated.
