Essay

The object of the research is the process of interaction of railways and maritime transport within the limits of activity of sea commercial ports. The purpose of the thesis is to develop and ground a theoretical and methodical basis to increase economic efficiency of railways and maritime transport. The methods of the research are: economical, the analysis of the systems and marketing, economic prognostication and design, etc. The scientific novelty of the results consists of systematization clarification of known and ground of new positions, which make theoretical and methodical basis of decision scientifically, applied tasks - an improvement organizational and economic co-operation of railways and maritime transport within the limits of activity of sea commercial ports. Firstly suggested: the organizational-economic model of interaction between the railroad and port that determines the nature, content and adoption of cost-orientation - appropriate practical solutions for effective functioning of the system, which are based on an estimation potentially possible volumes of transportations and stimulation of increase of the traffic of goods into all-rail-marine connections due to the address investing in the infrastructure of port and railways. Methodical approaches to the evaluation of the interaction of the railroads and seaport by incorporation of high performance joint action of the main factors on the basis of the calculation of synergy are improved. Practical implementation: a proposed model of the interaction of railways and port is used in Mykolaiv Sea Commercial Port and specialized "Oktyabrsk" seaport.
