Essay

The research object is the process of both concrete strength and lateral pressure distribution predicting in the manufacture of pressed concrete road stones. The goal of the study is to develop a method for strength and lateral pressure distribution predicting in the manufacture of pressed concrete products by means of mathematical models. To achieve this goal the mathematical apparatus of the fuzzy logic theory, regression analysis, mathematical planning of the experiment are used. Scientific novelty is: conceptual approach to an expert-system building in the form of hierarchy to predict the strength and lateral pressure distribution, by using fuzzy logic and linguistic variables is developed; correlation between the W/C, duration of pre-vibration, value of pressing pressure and lateral pressure for various compositions of the concrete mix is obtained, a reduction in the lateral pressure on the wall of the mold and pressing pressure resistance increases with decreasing W/C is showed; theoretical dependence of the change of entrapped air in the concrete mix to a depth of mold by the density of concrete and compaction pressure has been further development. Practical value lies in the fact that the developed Intelligent decision-support concrete strength predicting module provides test samples reduction for 25 hours in the case of mixtures of Portland cement and 27 hours for slag cement mixtures and pozzolan cement. The degree of implementation - the results have been implemented as a backup system for the concrete mixes design in the building laboratory of "Podolia-concrete"Ltd. (Vinnitsa, Ukraine). Sphere (region) of use - building laboratories of companies engaged in the design of new formulations of concrete mixes, enterprises engaged in manufacturing curved paving elements, namely pressed concrete road stones.
