The dissertation is devoted to the study of the frequency of neurological complications in patients with types 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus in Ukraine; study of risk factors for diabetic polyneuropathy and the effectiveness of methods of therapy of this complication. The article of research is determining of frequency of diabetic peripheral neuropathy; comparative analysis of therapeutic efficacy of alpha-lipoic acid and vitamin B complex in the treatment of diabetic polyneuropathy.
