The aim of the study is to validate the theoretical approaches and the development of and practical recommendation to improve state regulation of foreign economic activity of the region. The object of research is the process of state regulation of foreign trade activities in the region. Methods: a dialectic method of knowledge of economic and statistical methods, correlation and regression analyze. Theoretical results: rationale for government regulation of foreign economic activity of the region. The bottom line: Development of a holistic mechanism to implement the cluster model for the region. Scientific novelty: develop tools for effective state regulation of foreign trade activities in the region. The degree of implementation: the results of the study are applied Central Administrations of Industry and Infrastructure of Zhytomyr oblast administrations, State enterprise "Baranivka timber-hunt facilities", SE "Baranowski forest-hunting economy", in the educational process of Zhytomyr Institute of Economics and Humanities. Efficiency: The results of the study will help improve the effectiveness of state regulation of foreign trade activities in the region. Application: central and local executive bodies, local authorities, universities, forest enterprises.
