The thesis presents results of an integrated investigation of theoretical and procedure principles of determining basic lines of enhancing economic efficiency and competitiveness of poultry farming. The study substantiates theoretical constituents of the economic mechanism of efficient poultry farming performance in the present-day economy. The research specifies causes of the industry's crises at the regional level, determines economic efficiency of businesses with different management forms and main technological and economic factors responsible for production efficiency.
