The thesis suggests a profound analysis of theoretical and methodological fundamentals of developing recommendations aimed at elaborating a mechanism of entrepreneurial risk management activity in the system of economic security of light industry enterprises and its implementation. The author outlines theoretical and methodological fundamentals of entrepreneurial risk management activity in the system of economic security of an enterprise: definitions of "economic security of an enterprise", "entrepreneurial risk"; entrepreneurial risks classification; entrepreneurial risks assessment scale. The research has enhanced the following: methodological approach to assessment of entrepreneurial risks; assessment system of economic security levels, which enables to estimate impact of entrepreneurial risks based on the integral index; procedure of economic management efficiency assessment within the system of economic security of an enterprise which is represented as an algorithm. The innovative element of the research is the mechanism of entrepreneurial risk management aimed at providing optimal level of economic security of an enterprise.
