Essay

The thesis introduces the concept of the heroic female character in Puccini's operatic works in parallel to the phenomena of different national cultures, including Chinese. The process of emergence and development opera of verysmo in Europe, which is compared with similar processes in artistic cultures of different countries. Particular attention is paid to the operas of Puccini, who created a series of striking heroic female characters in his work. Central to the study is the image of Cio-Cio-San as the closest culture in the Far East region, which belongs to China.
