The dissertation is devoted to the genre of piano suite in the context of Chinese musical culture. Purpose is to study the phenomenon of Chinese piano suite from the perspective of its genre functioning during XX - early XXI centuries and identifying a typology that was formed within the genre. Disclosure of this theme involves on the one hand, consideration of the leading historical and stylistic trends suite in European musical culture, on the other hand - the study of the phenomenon of the suite, his main genre characteristics and properties.
