Essay

The object of research is physical processes in open resonant systems with sections of oversized waveguides and axisymmetric inhomogeneities. The goal is to build a mathematical model and to study of the physical processes in such systems. Research methods are the Galerkin method and experimental methods. Dispersive and energy characteristics of the system are built. It is shown that such characteristics are in qualitative agreement with the same characteristics of cylindrical resonators with the inhomogeneities. The possibility of measuring electrical parameters of materials by means of the system is demonstrated. Usage area is radiophysics.
