Svystun I. Correction of morphofunctional changes of liver in patients with diffuse toxic goiter

Object of study - liver dysfunction in patients with diffuse toxic goiter and experimental thyrotoxicosis. Purpose - to improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment effectiveness of patients with diffuse toxic goiter with liver functional disorders by studying the parameters of antioxidant system, lipid peroxidation, endogenous intoxication and correction of morphostructural changes of the liver in animals with experimental thyrotoxicosis by means of antioxidant and hepatoprotector. It was found, that thyrotoxicosis decompensation is accompanied by the deviation of the functional liver tests, activation of lipid peroxidation, reduction of antioxidant systems enzymes activity and the development of endogenous intoxication syndrome. Additional usage of ?-lipoic acid and essential phospholipids promotes better compensation of clinical symptoms and normalization of the indicated parameters; animals with experimental thyrotoxicosis got improvement of the components structure of hepatic lobule and microcirculatory system. The results are put into practice of medical institutions, scientific and educational process. Industry - medicine.
