The thesis is a specialized linking research dealing with theoretical and practical issues of methodology of investigating child pornography related offences. The work researches into the notion of pornography, studies the types thereof and delimitation criteria between erotica and pornography, the notion of child pornography, etc. Further, typification and criminalistic classification of offences connected with child pornography has been performed; the structure and essence of their criminalistic characteristics have been uncovered; the range of circumstances to be proved in the process of investigation of the given type of offence has been defined. The specificities of initial and follow-up stages of investigation have been researched into; specific investigative techniques in the typical investigative situations have been studied. Recommendations have been formulated directed at the improvement of the process of organization of all the stages of investigation of child pornography related cases, which would increase efficiency thereof and foster comprehensive and objective criminal prosecution.
