The thesis is a theoretical study of the actual problem of denominational multivariate of Christian eschatology. The paper analyzes different approaches of domestic and foreign researchers to the theological deifnition of the term "eschatology", its types, structures, and purpose. The evolution of views on the nature of eschatological teachings is traced. The text explains the meaning of work, evolutinary forms, and modern transformative types of the chiliasm theory (millennialism) against the background of the objective trends of development of human civilization.
