The thesis is devoted to the aspectual typology of fixed verbo-nominal phrases (FVNPs) and the correlating verbs. The research is carried out in the sphere of cognitive grammar on the basis of the British national corpus. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of telicity of FVNPs. The research provides the system of aspectual coercion of FVNPs and the correlating verbs under the influence of context.
