The object - the formation and use of financial resources for the development of depressed areas in a market economy. Purpose - theoretical basis and identification of ways to improve the financial security of depressed areas. Methods - comparison, grouping, conceptual analysis, indexation method, normative forecast method, multivariate analysis, economic and mathematical modelling. Results - summarized theoretical backgrounds, practical research of financial support development of depressed areas, developed recommendations for financial support improvement.
