Essay

The thesis is devoted to the complex analysis of adjectives and functional attributes of the Turkish language in terms of paradigmatic and functional-grammatical features. The dissertation dedicated to additive-paradigmatic model of morphological description, which is relevant to the words of Turkish language, and allows to systematize the paradigmatic, the derivation and the morphemic structures of the Turkish words. Performed a systematic linguistic analysis of the adjective as an integral grammatical macro category in dynamic (functional) aspect, which shows the relations of the word as morphological unit with its functional implementation in the syntactic structure of sentences. It was proved that according to the structural features of a paradigmatic organization and syntactic function proper adjectives, ordinal numbers, attributive adverb attributive pronouns, participles and functional atributes (attributive nouns in the attributive phrases and substantive pronouns) are extended to the same part of speech - adjective, which has its own systematic and structural organization: the center, to which the lexical adjectives are related, and functional periphery, which includes functional adjectives (functional atributes). The two-level part of speech classification of Turkish language, which based on the semantic, morphological and syntactic criteria, was analyzed. Transposition processes are considered as a functional appearance in the Turkish language, and in particular the syntactic level of transposition of the adjectives was viewed. The contradictions in the definition of adjective as lexical and grammatical class of the Turkish language and in the definition of the capacity of the adjective's lexeme were viewed. In the thesis were described the principles of morphological description, which were used during the inflection-paradigmatic analysis. The structural and morphological models of the Turkish word forms were set out. On the base of semantic, morphological and syntactic features were determined three lexical and grammatical groups of adjective: quality, relative and with generalized pointing semantics. The lexical and grammatical group of relative adjectives distinguished itself as relative, relative-relative, communion and possessive-relative.
