Simeonova J. Conductor's creation of K. Simeonov in the musical culture of Ukraine (1946-1976)

K. Simeonov was one of the most active figures of art, who rendered a large influence on development of musical culture of Ukraine. The theoretical generalization and new decision of scientific task are resulted in the paper - determination of the conductor's function, phenomenon of the opera-symphonic conducting through the biography analysis and creative method of Konstantin Simeonov in Ukrainian period of his activity. The analysis of creative method of the conductor has been based on three steps of his creative process - home-work, rehearsal period, performance (including audio recordings). The result of analysis has become a confirmation of the following positions: a) The scientific study of conductor's problems falls behind from conductor's practice and is secondary to it. For this reason conservation, accumulation and systematization of creative materials of the prominent conductors, such as Konstantin Simeonov, is of great scientific value today. b) K. Simeonov realized the performance, educative and public function of a conductor at high level. c) The creative method of K. Simeonov presents interest for further scientific studies of the opera-symphonic conducting phenomenon.
