Essay

Polarimetric method for measuring linear dichroism parameter is proposed and the effects of multiple reflection of light in the sample are taken into account. The value of linear dichroism parameter is determined for fixed wavelengths of light using polarimetric method and the linear dichroism spectra are obtained for gallogeramanates crystals. The values of gyration tensor component g11 and the temperature dependences of the circular dichroism parameter are obtained for research crystals at various light wavelengths. The classical polarizability model of optical activity is used for calculation of crystal optical parameters of Ca3Ga2Ge4O14, Sr3Ga2Ge4O14, La3Ga5SiO14, La3Ga5GeO14, La3Ga5,5Nb0,5O14 langasite family crystals.
