Gavadzyn N. Economic assessment of environmental investments efficiency for oil and gas companies

The thesis is devoted to developing theoretical and methodological principles of assessment of the environmental investments efficiency for oil and gas companies. In the thesis there has been researched the characteristics of harmful influences of oil and gas companies on environment during their business activities. The expediency for involving environmental investments has been presented in order to predict and reduce harmful influences. The capital investments and current expenditures on protecting environment as well as environmental taxes and emergencies have been analyzed. The most dangerous objects of oil and gas industry are appeared to be gathering ponds for storing oil sludge, oil wells due to drilling and operation and industrial pipelines. The methodological approach for evaluating environmental investments efficiency of oil and gas companies has been improved. The ecological rates of income for the most dangerous objects in oil and gas producing industries have been calculated basing on the method of the cumulative structure taking into account characteristics reflecting special features of the production. The procedure of environmental investing has been offered in order to improve efficiency of operating oil and gas producing companies
