Essay

Given in the thesis are the results of investigation on transmission and receiving of optical information by means of holographic interferometry under statistical phase noise in optical tract. The two optical signals emerging after scattering from the surface of the object in the two comparable states pass through some optical tract. In the tract the signals undergo phase changes described by statistical distribution of phase shift over the cross-section of the beam. Such changes lead to decorrelation of phase of the signals and hence to deterioration of interference pattern. Offered in the work is the mathematical model explaining the effect of unpredictable phase distortions of the quality of interferograms of focused images. Obtained is general expression for visibility of interference fringes for the case of transfer of focused image in holographic interferometer with random phase distortions. Exploitation of focused images allows avoiding additional problems with localization of the fringes. Investigated here is the model of holographic interferometer as a correlator with presentation of output signal in the form of interference pattern. From this model derived is the connection between visibility of interference fringes for signals with random phase distortions and intensity of correlation peak for corresponding distortions. Offered is the new holographic method of indirect transfer of information about wavefront independently of random phase distortions in optical tract.
