Feshchak N. Ukrainian string quartet of the twentieth century: the composer's works and performer's interpretation.

Dissertation is dedicated to researching of the Ukrainian quartet’s expressive means in the XX century’s process of chamber-instrumental music’s development. Investigational rehearse on this theme from Ukrainian and abroad specifies here, such as ideas about genesis and features of quartet performance art. According to analytic results on the quartets by contemporary Ukrainian composers, conclusions has made about providing role of this genre in the evolution of European chamber-instrumental music, and influences of the development of expressive means system in contemporary quartet performance’s art. In the XX century quartet genre’s evolution and the means of interpretation demonstrate the rising of chamber links, monological and dialogical characteristics.
