Essay

Dissertation deals with studying theoretical frameworks of the basic instruments of the EU Common Agricultural Policy and developing practical recommendations for their use in food market regulation in Ukraine. Studying the relevant scientific literature provided the basis for performing an in-depth analysis of peculiarities of state regulation of agri-food markets in EU and Ukraine. Additionally, a thorough assessment of the current state and prevailing development trends for the markets of main types of agri-food products in Ukraine and EU was conducted. The employment of methods for calculation of international competitiveness indicators allowed us to determine the kinds of agri-food products that could become the most export-attractive for trade with EU member countries. Furthermore, a comprehensive evaluation of long-term economic impact (changes in export, import and internal production volumes) of the creation of free trade zone with EU on the basic types of Ukrainian agri-food products has been provided.
