The thesis considers linguistic and cognitive peculiarities of precedent phenomena in English Arthurian discourse. Depending on the objects of nomination, precedent onyms of Arthurian discourse are subdivided into anthroponyms, toponyms. The dynamics of conceptualization of precedent onyms in Arthurian discourse is justified by enriching their conceptual structure with already defined and new features in modern English texts.
