Essay

The object of the research – the international relations on South Caucasus in ХVІІІ – ХІХ century. The dissertation purpose: on the basis of the analysis of the published sources, taking the results of study of a problem in domestic and foreign historiography, to investigate the process of incorporation of Transcaucasia in structure of the Russian empire. The methods: problem-chronological, structural-diachronous, historical-system, tupological, comparative. Scientific novelty: the sources of the Caucasian politics of Russia are shown and the place of region in внешнеполитических the plans of St. Petersburg foreign policy is determined; formation, development and consequences of the russian-turkish and russian-Iranian contradictions on South Caucasus is analyzed; the positions of the world and regional countries-leaders in the attitude of incorporation of territories of South Caucasus in the structure of the Russian empire are revealed; the role of cazaks in a gain and development of region is determined. Practical value of research: the materials of the dissertation can be used by the researchers of a history of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Great Britain and France; and also by preparation of lectures and special courses on a history of the international relations in higher educational institutions; by organizations, which support the diplomatic, economic and cultural-educational relations with the listed countries.
