Govorukha N. Cognitive-pragmatic properties of the tautological utterances (in German discourse).

The subject of the research is tautological utterances in the German language. The subject matter of the research is structural, cognitive-semantic and pragmatic-discoursive characteristics of tautological utterances. The objective of the research is to identify structural, cognitive-semantic and discursive characteristics of tautological utterances. The methodological basis of the research is cognitive pragmalinguistics. The scientific novelty of the research lies in development of the cognitive-pragmatic method of research on tautological utterances in a discourse, identification of the structural types and cognitive models of implicatures of TU, differentiation of types of TU on the basis of degrees of their conventionalization, determination of the illocutive and strategical potential of TU. The theoretical relevance of the research is determined by the contribution it makes into development of cognitive-pragmatic school of linguistics. The obtained results will further promote extension of the theory of implicature, speech acts and discursive strategies. The practical value of the obtained results is conditioned by the possibility of their application in teaching courses of theoretical grammar and lexicology, topical problems of linguistics, theory of communication, discoursology.
