Boiko S. Ukrainian scientific school of public finance: a historical retrospective and contemporary realities

Thesis deals with the theoretical and methodological foundations of Ukrainian scientific school of public finance. Its correspondence to characteristics of the scientific school has been proved, its specific features and characteristics have been determined. The influence of Western economic thought on its formation and development has been determined. The stages of formation and evolution of Ukrainian scientific school of public finance have been substantiated, especially its formation in the context of Ukrainian financial science. The existence of Ukrainian classical school of public finance (the second half of the nineteenth - early twentieth century) has been argued, the features of its development and achievements are shown. Its theoretical development and practical experience of the public financial management operation have been investigated: budgeting, inter-budget relations, taxation, public debt operations. The orientation of usage of theoretical positions in order to increase the efficiency of public finance operations in Ukraine and further development of the domestic financial science have been substantiated.
