Essay

The display of ideological and aesthetic foundations of Chinese and Western cultures invariants in chamber-instrumental ensemble music of the second half of the 20th century are considered in dissertation. The analysis is conducted through the prism of convergence of East and West cultures in the globalization era. The works by Ukrainian composers such as E. Stankovych, M. Skoryk, V. Sylvestrov, I. Karabyts, A. Kyva, V. Kyreyko, Y. Ishchenko, V. Shumeyko, W. Guba, I. Vereshchagin, V. Kaminsky, G. Gavrilets, K. Tsepkolenko, and China composers such as Jiang Wen Ye, Zhu Jian Er, He Zhan Hao, Huang An Lun, Jia Daqun, Lin Hua, Liu Zhuang, Ye Xiao Gang, Tan Dun are analyzed.The conclusions about interactions of European and non-European national trends in chamber-instrumental ensemble music of the second half of 20th century are made.
