Skytova G. The strategic management of the holding companies: the project-oriented approach (based on the materials of the companies in the field of information and communication technologies in Ukraine)

The thesis studies the theoretical and methodical as well as applied aspects of the development of the holding company's strategic management on the basis of project-oriented approach. To achieve the research objective there has been analysed the concepts and categorial apparatus of the invastigated subject ares and its basic determinants of holding companies functioning. There has been conducted the retrospective of strategic management concepts and substantiated the need for project-oriented approach to solving complex problems of managing the holding companies. There has been specified the genesis and evolution of holding companies functioning and elaborated periodisation of their development in Ukraine; defined main factors and trends of the growth of holding companies in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT); examined the status of the strategic management in the holding companies of the target sector; identified the correlation between the level of maturity of strategic and project management systems and financial results of the ITC holdings. For the holding companies there has been designed and introduced the model of strategic project-oriented management and proposed the methodical approach to the elaboration and evaluation the strategic project portfolio using the multicriteria assessment model that allows estimate project proposals in terms of a strategic goal and synergy effect achievement, available resources, time and financial constraints. There have been provided recommendations on the organisational support of strategic project management activity of the holdings considering the project-oriented approach.
