Gamankov D. The state at the insurance market of Ukraine

The dissertation is devoted to the deepening the theoretical foundations of the place and role of the state in the insurance market and to the development of scientific and practical recommendations for improving state regulation and supervision aimed at improving the functioning of the insurance market of Ukraine. The analysis of the latest trends in the global regulation of the insurance market because of the possibility of using them to build a national system of regulation and supervision has been made. The characteristic of the insurance market of Ukraine as an object of state regulatory impact has been done, the determinants of the development and ways of strengthening state regulatory impact on the market have been identified, as well as the establishment of the control over the solvency of insurers on the basis of Solvency II. The financial and legal functioning of the insurance market of Ukraine and insurance markets of the world have been investigated, concluded that the original dominant of the state regulatory impact is the transparency-oriented consumer protection through independence of the state regulator from regulatory capture.
