Essay

Object of investigation: ophiolite complex of the Ukrainian Carpathians; subject of studies: geochemistry and mineralogy of the ultrabasic and basic rocks of the ophiolite complex of the Ukrainian Carpathians;methods of investigation: XRF, mineralogical, chemical, isotopic analysis, SEM investigation; practical value: the results of the research can be used in assessing the prospects of ore presence and oil and gas potential of the region studied; scientific novelty: were obtained new data on the geochemical characteristics of rocks of ophiolite association of the Ukrainian Carpathians, first was identified gaseous component of ultrabasite complex and a conclusion was made that it affects the process of serpentinization; on the basis of finding out serpentinization type of ultrabasite, was determined velocity of lifting of ultrabasic material, first was discovered paragenesis of antigorite with cohenite that allows us to consider early looped serpentinization of lherzolites as a deep process, on the basis of complex studies of ultrabasites and basic rocks of the Ukrainian Carpathians it was found that their characteristics are correlated with data for rocks of ophiolite complex of the Ligurian basin.
