Essay

The thesis is the first in Ukrainian literary studies complex research of theatricality as one of the most conceptually important features of postmodernist play discourse in Spanish Intellectual Prose of the second half of the 20th century. The conception of theatricality is formulated on the basis of philosophical and aesthetic, social and cultural, theatrical and literary approaches. Theatricality is examined as an important philosophical and aesthetic category of the postmodernist epistemological paradigm that has a structure-forming function in the poetics of the novel. The thesis explores novels of such famous writers of the second half of the 20th century, as Gonzalo Torrente Ballester, Alvaro Cunqueiro and Juan Marce.
