Essay

The thesis is devoted to the improvement of PbI2 single-crystal growth technology, the surface morphology and analysis of single crystals as well as the study of their electrical properties and the effect of b- and g-radiation on their peculiarities. A new technological approach in growing PbI2 single crystals was suggested opposite to other conventional methodologies as it was based on the upgrade of the purity of primary components at the initial stage of the technological process. A flow chart of process steps in growing PbI2 single crystals and grounds of their effectiveness were given.
