Nezdvetska I. The substantiation the structural and technological parameters of drier for root chicory.

The thesis highlights the problems related to enhancing the efficiency od drying roots of root chicory through determining the rational structural and technological parameters and regimes of operation of drum drier under the effects of IR - irradiation energy on material. The author substantiates analytically the rational structural and technological parameters of drum driers, which is meant for drying plant origin dry substances under the recurring effects of IR - irradiation energy on the material. Theoretically and experimentally determined were: the effects of the structural parameters of drier is on the technological parameters of process of drying; of influence of technological parameters of process of drying; the effects of technological parameters of the drier operation on the process productivity and the quality indices of the object of drying under minimizing the specific energy consumption of moisture evaporated. The industrial and economic tests of the drier suggested are conducted and the economic effect of its use is calculated.
