Essay

The influences of adsorption time, pH, concentration and structures of different types of molecules on fundamental characteristic of adsorption of amino acids and nucleotides are investigated in this thesis. The influence of pH on kinetics, geometric and energetic properties and adsorption isotherms of low-molecular compounds with multilayer carbon nanotubes were investigated in details. The effect of different groups in adsorbed molecules on their adsorption on carbon nanotubes is investigated. It was found that adsorption of aliphatic amino acids and aromatic compounds involves electrostatic, hydrophobic or п-stacking forces. It was shown that the adsorption of studied molecules is described by free energies, which are typically observed for physical adsorption. It was established that a radical of amino acids has a significant influence on adsorption. The method of creation of nanocomposites (amino acids with carbon nanotubes) was proposed as the basis for creation of the drugs.
