Kazarinov D. Currency regulation in Ukraine in the process of regional monetary integration

The thesis offers a scientific and methodical approach to the analysis of priorities in the development of currency regulation, which is based on the assessment of potential areas of the state's regional monetary integration. It conducts a study of the currency regulation in Ukraine on the basis of retrospective analysis of the measures taken by the National Bank of Ukraine during the pre-crisis period, the period of financial crisis and the post-crisis period. It has developed methodological approaches to the assessment of the expediency of the regional monetary integration by establishing a set of indicators for the analysis of the nominal, real and structural convergence of the economies. These approaches were tested through the assessment of convergence of the economy of Ukraine with the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the European Union. Based on the assessment's results the priorities for the development of the currency regulation in Ukraine have been determined.
