The object of research is a process of diversification on machine-building enterprises. The purpose of work is grounding of theoretical principles and development of practical recommendations to perfect and optimize the basic regularities of diversification of production processes of machine-building enterprises. The author uses methods of classification and systematization, structural analysis and synthesis, system and comparative methods, statistical analysis method, multifactor and system structural analysis, mathematical modeling, structural logical modeling, economic modeling and prognostication. A theoretical value consists in development of theoretical principles in relation to the essence on the concept of diversification, which lie in formation of the proper classification of types of diversification which will enable to understand the essence of research object deeper, and to define facilities of its introduction on machine-building enterprises, and also in improvement of algorithm of diversification of machine-building enterprises according to the basic criteria of efficiency, which unlike present ones, is based on finding the optimum decision of difficult process of diversification by exclusion of unnecessary elements, which will enable to ground chosen variant with the maximum indexes of effectiveness. A scientific novelty is the method of evaluation and optimization of project decisions based on ranking of factors of influence on successful realization of diversification of machine-building enterprises, which owns an algorithmic optimization constituent. It will allow to choose the best variant of diversification from a few ones offered. The subject of research is totality of theoretical, organizational, methodical and practical principles of development and realization of methodology of effective diversification of machine-building enterprises. Recommendations of the author are used to conduct economic calculations choosing the most effective variant of project decision of diversification.
