The prerequisites, subject base, methodological principles of musicological interpretation of the love phenomenon and ways of its translation into the music are defined in the dissertation, also is reveales the dialogic nature of love in the music genre and stylistic duality incarnation theme of love in the opera art. Consideration of the leading genre aesthetic trends interpretation of the theme of love in the European Opera allows to define the paradigmatic aspects of the theme of love in its operatic incarnation and in unity with the actantial model opera genre.
