Clinical and pathogenetic features of generalized periodontitis (GP) in 131 patients with the chronic chlamydial infection, the efficiency of complex treatment with the evaluation of remote results have been investigated. It has been determined that the development of GP is accompanied by disorders of local immunity in the oral cavity, increasing levels of C-reactive protein, discoordination of cytokines in biological fluids. The scheme of combined treatment of GP with concomitant chlamydial infection with the inclusion of the drug "Proteflazid" that promotes long-term remission of the pathological process has been elaborated.
