This thesis focuses on the study of anticoncepts in the English fiction of the Victorian Age from systemic and typological aspects. The research outlines the theoretical and methodological basis for linguistic studies of anticoncepts. They are viewed as complementary constituents of oppositional binary unity which, together with their corresponding prior concepts, form a certain meaningful space with a number of integral and differential features. Thematic typology of the Victorian Age key concepts and anticoncepts has been established; their correlative / typological peculiarities have been singled out. Аxiological component proved to be the main distinctive feature of anticoncepts. Нypothetical ontological models of the analyzed concepts and anticoncepts have been projected.
