The object of the dissertation research is the process of using local approaches to formation of strategy development of the banking system of Ukraine. Objective: To deepening of theoretical principles and develop a practical recommendations for the use of local approaches to formation of strategy development of the banking system of Ukraine. Methods: A comparative analysis, analog, systematization and generalization, statistical analysis, formalization, synthesis, mathematical modeling. Developed by: a local approach that is fundamental to the choice of strategy development of the banking system of Ukraine and is based on three criteria that the most complete reflect the stagnation course of processes (efficiency of deposits, changes in the weighted average rate of hryvnia on transactions with of banks Ukraine foreign cash and unprofitability the loan portfolio); improved: methodic approaches to determining a stagnation of processes and of factors that have caused them at every stage of banking system development Ukraine; methodic approaches to prognostication of the state banking system on the basis condition its assessment criteria, were further developed: proposals to improve the strategy development of the banking system, the approaches to formation of strategy the banking system development on the basis of minimizing certain criteria. Scope: commercial banks and their customers.
