The methodological approaches to the cognition of small bank business and management of this business in the commodity economy are found out. Efficiency and competitiveness of small banks and factors of their increase are investigated. The subject-objective analysis of features of small bank structures’ management is conducted. Foreign experience of functioning and regulation of small banking is generalized and the possibilities of its application in Ukraine.
