Essay

Thesis is devoted to the analysis of Polish and Russian historiography resumption of independence in Ukraine. From recent Ukrainian history it discloses, systematizes and describes the main group of historiography sources in the Polish and Russian historiography. The conceptual and methodological principles of research into the issue of renewed independence in Ukraine were clarified by the historians of Poland Republic and the Russian Federation. Using the comparison method thesis analyzed the contribution of Polish and Russian researchers in the study of political, social, economic, cultural, educational, state-forming processes in Ukraine in terms of independence. It identified the scientific-theoretical and practical value of these research achievements for the comprehensive study of foreign historiography in modern Ukrainian history. The range of issues that require further study and scientific interpretation was also selected.
