Essay

Objectives: Ascertainment of the impact of body mass at birth and negative factors of perinatal development on metabolic syndrome components in adolescent boys and improvement of early diagnostics algorithm of glucose homeostasis disorder and associated with it cardiovascular pathology. Subjects of investigation: components of metabolic syndrome in adolescent boys with obesity considering body mass at birth. Methods of investigation: clinical, anthropometric, immunoassays, biochemical, statistical. Used equipments: glucose analyzer"BIOSEN C line",ultrasound medical complex Aloka SSD-3500 SХ, cardiograph FХ-326 , immune-ferment analyzer"Stat Fax 2100", spectrophotometer. Theoretical result: It was proved the leading role of adipose tissue hormones in carbohydrates and lipids metabolism disorders in patients with metabolic syndrome depending on body mass at birth. Practical significance: Based on the definition of individual risk factors and clinical investigation of adolescent boys with different course of perinatal development it was improved algorithm of differential diagnostics of metabolic syndrome in adolescents. Novelty: It was ascertained that boys born as small for gestational age are at risk of vascular manifestation of insulin resistance. Boys born as large for gestational age are at risk of development -cell pancreatic insufficiency. Implementation: 14 publications (7 papers in special journals), 1patent of Ukraine, 5 thesis, 1 methods recommendations). Area of application: endocrinology, perinatology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, family medicine.
