Chernenko M. Methods and information technology for databases integration of corporate systems

The study in this thesis concerns solving an actual scientific and practical problem of developing new information technology methods for databases integration. Two natural join relation models were designed. (1) Natural join relations on con-forming projections and (2) outer natural join relations on conforming projections. These operations allow implementing a method of integrated database synthesis from a variety of legacy information system databases. Formal flat databases description is included. The study involves improving method of transforming flat databases into relational form using methods of loading data into DBMS. An information technology of database integration based on developed methods is proposed. A software tool for database integration is implemented. The information tech-nology and the tool were used in the process of legacy information systems re-engineering in several organizations.
