The dissertation is devoted to the procedural fundamentals and ways of improving the order of the person's liberation from criminal responsibility in connection with the active repentance and reconciliation of the offender with the victim. There were defined the grounds, conditions and procedural order of the person's liberation from criminal responsibility on the basis of a comparative analysis of the Criminal Procedure Code's provisions in 1960 and the new Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine.
