Admina N. Impact of exterior traits on the complex of selection traits of cows of Ukrainian Black-and-White dairy breed.

The object of the study. Relationship between exterior traits and productive, reproductive traits of cows as well as duration of their economic use, morphological characteristics and functional properties of their udder under various conditions of housing. The subject of the study. Breeding, technological, productive, reproductive and exterior traits cows of Ukrainian black-and-white dairy breed. Methods of the study. Zootechnical, statistical. Scientific novelty of the results. First conducted a comprehensive linear evaluation of type of body structure of cows of Ukrainian black-and-white dairy breed and improved methodological approach to ground the desired exterior parameters of animals. The estimate of exterior characteristics of cows newly created breed of different productivity levels, as well as morphological and functional properties of the udder and their relationship with ergonomic components of milking process. The practical value of the results. Accounting in the selection work grounded set of desirable exterior as well as morphological and functional peculiarities of the udder of cows promoted the formation of animals of desired exterior type of Ukrainian black-and-white dairy breed for farms with intensive technology of milk production.
